our journey

Formed by a small group of entrepreneurs in 2004, DES was born out of a need for high-quality, low-cost coaxial cable for satellite TV installations. We believed the industry could benefit from a cable designed by the experts—actual installers. After thorough research and testing, we developed a cable with superior performance, efficient manufacturing, and significant cost savings to customers. 

Today, DES is proud to be an ESOP (employee owned) company. That means that every member of our team is empowered and incentivized to provide the best product and the best service to every customer. We measure quality through the eyes of our primary customers: both the technicians who install our cable and the consumers who rely on it. We engineer quality into every aspect of our value chain, from raw materials selection to end-user installation. All our cable products carry an ETL listing, are RoHS compliant, and are rigorously tested against ASTM, SCTE, and IEC standards.
